Photography is a sort of time capsule and a special window into history. It is art and artifact. From time to time, I've gone to estate sales, antique auctions and antique stores. A few of the treasures I've found along the way include vintage cameras, photos and slides. The image below was made by scanning an old slide and restoring it on my computer. I have no idea who the subject was or who the original owner of the slides was. This is an image that might have been lost forever, but it found its way to me. I love it and the many others I've come across. Doing this work can be time consuming (another "time" aspect of photography), but to me it's worth the effort. I'm so thankful to have a hobby that I enjoy on many different levels. Who's bored? Not me!
